Tall Tales

Tall Tales is a series of tales based on children’s fables. Each tale is told with a three-dimensional set made out of paper. The text is painted by hand, giving the book a more personal touch and feel.

Arts Funding Guide

Complete re-design of the 2009 Government Arts Funding Guide. The redesign was to update the current guides aesthetic, to appeal to the appropriate target market. We were allocated text to format and work effectively in the booklet design.

Perception

A series of cards and packaging based on perception and typography. Each typographic image was photographed through a kaleidoscope and taken as a series of tests. Each image was then made into a card with a brief description of perception on the back.

Geometrica

A 45 page exhibition booklet for the Art Gallery of NSW based on geometry in design. The booklet was to showcase the work of three artists who are a part of the Geometrica exhibition. These artists include Jeff Depner, Mario Hugo and Siggi Eggertsson.

Published Art

A set of six postcards for Published art bookstore based on one genre. I chose the use of craft in modern design, using the qualities and imperfections it can make as the main focus of my work. The entire quote was stitched onto cartridge paper. When the cards are joined they form the complete quote and final image.

Modernism

A series of books focusing on art movements during Modernism. Each book was designed to work well as a set, while at the same time representing each art period; Minimalism, Abstract Expressionism and Color- Field.

Treats Magazine

Treats magazine is a weekly publication for the Sydney Morning Herald dedicated to food, family and lifestyle. The idea of the magazine was to bring children and parents together with fun practical activities and recipes to make. All imagery was made out of sewn felt.

Solitaire Lodge

For the re-design of Solitaires Identity, I chose to base the design on the natural beauty that surrounds the area. The botanical drawings of Joseph Banks was a perfect example of New Zealand’s luscious greenery. I wanted the colours to be both calm and inviting.

Clock Booklet

12 page booklet based on a single quote. Each line of the quote was matched with a suitable clock and all text was illustrated by hand.
